6.2 REFLECTION
Candidates regularly evaluate and reflect on their professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen their ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences.
The self TKES self assessment artifact was completed by me at the beginning of this school year. This assessment is required at the beginning of each school through the Georgia teacher evaluation system. The portfolio artifact was created by me while working on my Kennesaw State University Bagwell College of Education Conversion Mechanism.

These artifacts demonstrate mastery of standard 6.2: candidates regularly evaluate and reflect on their professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen their ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences. Completing both of these artifacts enabled me to evaluate and reflect on my professional practice and dispositions in order to ensure that I am participating in the best practices for my students' learning needs. Completing these artifacts helped me to see where my strengths are and where my areas for improvement are. Continually engaging in these types of self reflection activities helps me to ensure that I am modeling and facilitating the best learning experiences for my students in all areas, including using technology-enhanced learning experiences.

Through creating these artifacts I have learned how incredibly valuable self reflection is, especially in teaching. This practice helps me continuously evaluate my effectiveness, and enables me to modify lessons and methods as necessary. Doing this ensures that my students are getting the best I have to give at all times. One thing I would do differently with these artifacts would be to add comments on my self-reflection. This would help me to remember exactly why I rated myself the way I did on each standard. This is something I plan to do when I complete my self-reflection at the beginning of the next school year.

Creating these artifacts has impacted my own professional development as well as student learning. Evaluating my professional strengths and areas for improvement enables me to see which areas I need to focus on strengthening, and what types of professional development I should pursue. Evaluating what I need to improve, and then striving to do that has a positive impact on every student's learning that I facilitate. When I grow professionally, and become a stronger teacher I am better able to meet my students' learning needs. These impacts will be measured by my continued growth and my students continued gains.
