6.3 FIELD EXPERIENCE
Candidates engage in appropriate field experiences to synthesize and apply the content and professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions identified in these standards.
The resume artifact was created by me many years ago when looking for a teaching job. It has been updated numerous times over the years, with the most recent update occurring today before uploading it. The portfolio artifact was created by me when working on completing my Kennesaw State University Bagwell College of Education Conversion Mechanism.

These artifacts demonstrate mastery of standard 6.2: candidates engage in appropriate field experiences to synthesize and apply the content and professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions identified in these standards. The resume shows that I have built a teaching career that envelops these very standards. The portfolio takes specific snapshots of different activities I have completed throughout my career and my education, and puts them all together to demonstrate mastery of each of these standards individually.

Through the development of these artifacts I have learned the importance of keeping a thorough resume and portfolio. These documents help me to reflect on my career and education and see all that I have accomplished. They also help me see areas for improvement, which helps me become a better educator. If I could change one thing about these artifacts I would have started keeping a portfolio at the very beginning of my teaching career, 19 years ago.

My continuous field experiences and educational strides impact my professional development. The more I continue to learn, whether in the classroom or in the field, help me to continue to grow as a teacher. This impact can be measured through my continual professional development and my contributions to my classrooms and education at large.
