3.2 MANAGING DIGITAL TOOLS AND RESOURCES
Candidates effectively manage digital tools and resources within the context of student learning experiences.
The Shiloh Technology artifact was created by me with the help of my school's Local School Technology Coordinator. I worked with the LSTC to create this table in order to show how much technology the school currently has and utilizes. Having this document to refer to enables us to easily and effectively manage our digital tools and resources.

This artifact demonstrates mastery of standard 3.2: candidates effectively manage digital tools and resources within the context of student learning experiences. This table shows enables the LSTC and the principal to very clearly see the digital tools and resources that the school has at its disposal, as well which tools and resources are being utilized by which classrooms. It helps to effectively manage those tools and resources, and this effective management ensures that the tools can be used to enhance student learning experiences. No matter how much technology a school has at its disposal if it is not properly managed it can not be effectively utilized.

One thing I learned through creating this artifact is that we have a good amount of technology available to us at my school. I was aware of how much technology I have in my classroom, but creating this gave me an opportunity to see, on a whole school scale, just how many resources are available to us. As a matter of fact, when creating this table I learned that we had a set of classroom clickers that we could check out. I then checked them out to use in my class the very next day. One thing that could be improved with this artifact is that it could include a survey of the teachers regarding how often they use the available technology, and in what capacity. This would let us know that the resources are definitely being used to enhance student learning.

This artifact has an impact on staff development. It impacts the LSTC's and principal's ability to manage the technological tools our school has. It also impacted my own professional development. By clearly seeing everything I have at my disposal it enabled me to start utilizing some of the tools I had not utilized before. This impact can be measured by observing the future positive impact I have on my students.
